A professional mix engineer with over 27 years of experience, James has produced and mixed music, including Dove award winning and nominated and Latin Grammy nominated releases, and countless releases earning a spot in the top 10 on iTunes charts and global radio airplay.
His approach to mixing brings out the best of what makes a song special. James is known for his visceral drums, pristine vocals, compelling bass tones, provocative keys parts, and euphoric guitars; specializing in rock, pop, live albums, and alternative, he is also very comfortable with gospel, R&B, Latin and hip hop.
James is best known as a live mix engineer having worked some of the largest and most complex shows in some of the biggest venues around the world. His vast and varied experience includes shows from showcases for as small as 8 record label execs, to festival runs, to multi day shows with crowds of 80,000+ in the largest indoor and outdoor arenas as well as global live stream events for artists including Hillsong Church/Worship/United, Joe L Barnes, Dante Bowe, d4vd, Kari Jobe, Byan and Katie Torwalt, Monica, Martin Smith, Marco Barrientos, Mosaic Church, SEU, Social Dallas and many, many others.
Working with large audio rigs starting at just 12 years old, by age 14 James was responsible for all the audio at a local 2,000 seat venue. By 22, James had moved to Sydney, Australia and was mentored by some of the best, most renowned engineers in the country. James lived and worked in Sydney refining his skills in some of the greatest studios and largest venues Australia has to offer from 2006 until 2011.
Since 2009, James has spent his time traveling, investing into and developing audio engineers and teams, as well as producing and mixing live albums, conferences and tours.
James also uses his deep, real-world, professional experience as an audio, broadcast video, theatrical lighting, unified communications and venue automation systems design engineer for venues and corporate facilities of all sizes.
